Design
Tri-Ply Construction
When it comes to the design of the Copper Chef Titan Pans, they use a tri-ply design. This design combines two layers of stainless steel and a layer of aluminum sandwich between these layers.
The reason for this, is these two materials work well together when it comes to conducting heat.
The aluminum is what causes these pans to preheat so quickly, while the steel retains heat for long periods of time while cooking. This also allows for even and quick cooking time, whether on the stovetop or in the oven.
Diamond Infused Nonstick Coating
On the surface of the pan, there is an engraved steel pattern. This pattern helps the food to brown evenly, which is ideal for anyone who enjoys cooking a good steak.
As we have mentioned before, these are nonstick pans. Thus, there is also a diamond-infused coating, which is scratch-resistant and nonstick as well.
This diamond coating is what helps make these pans nonstick. Whilst also, it is scratch-resistant, which allows you to confidently use these pans with even any tools without fear that the pan is going to become marked.
Some nonstick coatings contain traces of toxic chemicals. However, all Copper Chef cookware is created using PFOA-free nonstick coatings.
Therefore, you don’t need to worry about any toxic chemicals on your cookware. Instead of any PFOA chemicals, these pans use diamond particles.
From our research, we discovered that diamond particles heat up 15% faster compared to other nonstick cookware.
Overall, the design of this pan has been well-thought-out. It is all about making this pan as durable as possible. The engraving and coatings all help make this a really durable pan, that you could easily use in your kitchen.
Appearance
Clearly, the tri-ply design looks pleasing to the eyes. Yet the overall appearance of the Copper Chef Titan Pan is very simple but still attractive to look at.
The reason for the simple design is so then this pan can be slotted into any kitchen seamlessly.

The pan itself is made from stainless steel, with an aluminum layer sandwich in between. Yet on the outside, this looks like a simple stainless steel pan.
The handles are also made from stainless steel, and well attached to the base of the pan. Copper Chef claims that these handles will stay cool even when they are on the stovetop.
However, we have noticed various customer reviews that say that these handles don’t stay as cool as they would like. We also experienced the same problem, when testing these pans.
The handles weren’t hot to the touch, but they were warmer than expected. Obviously, if you put this pan in the oven, then the handles will get.
As a result, we would suggest that you use oven gloves when handling this pan. If the handle is away from the heat source on the stovetop then you may be ok.
However, just for peace of mind, we would recommend oven gloves to be worn when handling this pan.
Compatibility
These pans claim that they can be used anywhere in your kitchen. That means they can be used on the stovetop and in the oven.
On their website, we can conclude that these pans can be used on any type of stovetop, whether that is gas, electric, or induction. It is also suitable to be put in the oven.
When it comes to temperatures, these pans can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. While the lid of these pans is glass, therefore it can only withstand temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Overall, these are very compatible pans that can be used in every home without any worry. This also makes these pans easier to use, as you can use fewer pans. This pan can do all the work, as it can be transferred from stovetop to oven easily and effortlessly.
Cleaning And Dishwasher Safe
As Copper Chef Titan Pans are nonstick, this should make them a breeze to clean. We can say that these pans are very easy to clean, either by hand or by putting them in the dishwasher.
If you do handwash these pans, then there are a couple of rules you need to follow. It is suggested that for handwashing, you use a non-metallic and soft sponge, alongside mild water and soap.
It is important to remember that even though these pans are nonstick, and anti-scratch. This coating over time and repetitive use will begin to wear away.
As a result, you need to treat your pans with the utmost care, if you want the nonstick and scratch coating to last for much longer.

This is also why you need to be wary of how often you are putting these pans in the dishwasher. While yes, they are dishwasher safe, that doesn’t mean you should always put them in there.
Dishwashers can be quite harsh towards your pans, due to the high temperatures, steam, and detergent that is used. Hence, using the dishwasher too frequently on your pans may wear away the nonstick coating quicker.
The choice is yours how you want to clean these pans, but you need to be mindful of the nonstick coating. It needs to be treated with care for it to last longer.
Therefore, when possible, try doing a mixture of handwashing and dishwasher. All you want to do is extend the life of the nonstick coating.
When it comes to the lid of these pans, they may need a little extra effort to get them spotless. The lid is made of tempered glass, so you can be rougher with the lid than you are with the pan itself.
Sometimes oil and fat may get trapped in the rim of the glass lid. Therefore, a bristle brush might be a more appropriate tool in this scenario, to get in the tight space.
Thus, we found the Copper Chef Titan Pan easy to clean, but we are aware that it requires care and attention to prolong its life.
In some instances, food has been known to stick to these pans. Ideally, this shouldn’t happen, but there are ways to prevent this from happening.
Season Your Pan
When you first get your hands on these pans, you need to season them. Ideally, you should season the pans before you cook with them.
To season your pan is quite simple, all you need to do is heat the pan with oil, such as corn oil, peanut oil, canola oil, or even clarified butter. You will heat your oil or butter on low to medium heat until the oil begins to smoke. Your pan should then be ready to use.
Use Oil While Cooking
Ideally, you don’t need to use oil or butter with this pain due to the diamond particle coating. However, as the pan gets more use, the nonstick coating will wear off.
However, to ensure that your food will never stick, it is always worth rubbing 1 tablespoon of your preferred oil over the pan. This should stop any food sticking to the pan.

Preheat Pan Correctly
Another way to avoid any food sticking to your pan is by heating your pan on medium heat before you attempt to put any food in. This way, you should avoid anything sticking. Alongside this, you shouldn’t be using any high heat with these pans.
As this pan is a great conductor, it will heat up quite quickly. Therefore, you will find that you don’t need to use as high of heat when cooking or frying.
Thus, you should use low to medium heat. If you use too high of heat, then you could not only damage the nonstick coating on the pan, but the high heat could cause your food to stick to the pan.
We found that if you use one of these methods, that your food shouldn’t stick to the pan. Thus making cleaning the pan easier.
Consequently, this pan might be nonstick, but we found that it doesn’t work, so you need to add some extra precautions to make sure that your food won’t stick.
Burnt Food On Your Pan
Sometimes it can’t be helped, burnt food will end up on your pan. As you need to be careful not to damage the nonstick coating. To do this, we found there are a couple of methods.
You can soak the pan with warm water for 15 to 20 minutes and then hand wash with a soft sponge. The burnt food should have lifted off and is very easy to wipe away.
Or another method we came across to wash the pan as normal. Then place the pan on a hot stovetop, and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil with three tablespoons of salt. Once the pan is hot, you should take it off the stove.
Now you should try to rotate the mixture in circles, so all the oil and salt can spread evenly and cover the surface of the pan.
Put the pan back on the stove and let the mixture get hot once again. Finally, once the pan is hot, you can wash the mixture away using soap and a soft sponge. These burnt particles should just wipe away cleanly.
The last method that we found used a baking soda paste. Which has equal parts water and baking soda, and this paste is rubbed onto the pans surface.
You should let the paste sit for around 20 to 30 minutes and then wash the paste away with a soft sponge and soap.
All these methods will help you to easily and carefully remove any burnt food that may arise on your pan. Yet they are also gentle on your pans surface, to protect its coating, so you can use it again.
Pros Vs Cons
Now we have gone through what this pan is all about. Here we put together the pros and cons simply, to discover whether this pan is as good as it says on TV.
Pros
There is no denying that this is a very versatile pan. It can do a lot more compared to other non-stick pans on the market.
If you are someone who enjoys making one pot meals, then this pan will be ideal for you. It can be used on any stovetop, but it can also be transferred to the oven seamlessly.
The pans themselves have a simple appearance, but the tri-ply design is very effective and clever. It helps make these pans heat up quickly and evenly. As they can heat up quickly, you don’t need to use high temperatures to cook your food perfectly.
Alongside this, they have a PFOA-free nonstick coating, that helps make food a breeze. You don’t need to worry about your food sticking to the pan. Alongside this, the coating used does not contain any toxic chemicals, which is another huge bonus.
Copper Chef Titanium Pans are dishwasher safe, and due to this nonstick coating quite easy to clean. They look professional, easy to handle and would make a great addition to any kitchen.
Cons
Yet, the Copper Chef Titan Pan isn’t perfect, it still has its flaws. These pans aren’t cheap, you are paying for the name and the fact that a popular chef helped create them.
These are mid-range pans, so they aren’t overly expensive, but they are still a little pricey. Buying a set might be better value for your money, than buying the pans separately.
Through our tests and from other customer reviews, we have found that the handles, while they say that they will stay cool. We found that handles actually get a bit too hot to handle without wearing any kind of protection.
Also, even though there is a nonstick coating, we discovered that you still need to add a bit of oil or something to make sure nothing sticks to the pan.
The nonstick coating is effective, but it could be better in some areas. For example, you shouldn’t need to add oil to your pan, but as the nonstick is a bit temperamental, it is best to just add a little.
Thus, if you like to cook in a dry pan, you run the risk of food getting stuck a bit more.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Copper Chef Titan Pan would be a great addition to any kitchen. It is versatile and has a well-thought-out design.
It will heat up quickly and evenly. Whilst also having a good nonstick coating. It should be noted that this coating needs to be treated with care, otherwise the pan won’t be as effective as you want it to be.
Yet, this pan should be able to cook any dish that you want to easily.
